Vinnie Catricala

Vincent David Catricala (born October 31, 1988) is a former minor league baseball third baseman.
Catricala was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 50th round of the 2006 MLB Draft, but he did not sign. He attended the University of Hawaii, where he walked on to the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors baseball team. The Seattle Mariners drafted Catricala in the 10th round of the 2009 MLB Draft. He was named their minor league player of the year for 2011.
Catricala was traded to the Oakland Athletics in June 2013. On August 1, Catricala, while playing for the Midland Rockhounds, was struck out by Corpus Christi Hooks pitcher Nick Tropeano with one pitch. He was selected by the Brewers in the Triple-A phase of the 2013 Rule 5 Draft.
Catricala retired in 2014, and now attends the Sacramento Police Academy.
