Vineyard Vines

Vineyard Vines is a clothing company based in Stamford, Connecticut. The company was formed in 1998 by two brothers on Martha's Vineyard, Shep and Ian Murray, who left corporate jobs in New York City to make ties so they would not have to wear ties themselves. Vineyard Vines designs and markets a lifestyle clothing brand with styles for men, women, and children. Their signature whale logo and small, illustrative patterns of fish, sailboats, summer scenes, and dozens of others associated with "The Good Life", adorn their ties, shorts, tennis shirts, belts and flip-flops. Vineyard Vines also designs and creates a large number of ties, bags, and other products for corporations, schools, and organizations throughout the United States through their custom orders department. Although the company is headquartered in Connecticut and maintains a mail-order , Vineyard Vines also has retail stores on Martha's Vineyard, in Nantucket and Mashpee, Massachusetts, and in Greenwich, Connecticut. Vineyard Vines was ranked 217th in Inc. magazine's list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in 2006, with 3-year sales growth at 569.4%.
