Victoria Marchenkova

Victoria Germanovna Marchenkova (; born 5 September 1987) is a Russian contemporary artist.
Victoria was a nominee of The Kandinskiy Prize 2012 (Young Artist) and 2014 (Scholarly work and History and theory of contemporary art). The Art Newspaper Russia included her into the selection of top 100 emerging Russian artists (2014), also she was included in Top 100 Russian art market rating by InArt (2017).

Early life
Victoria began her artistic studies in The Rodchenko Art School (class of Video Art, professor Kirill Preobrazhenskiy, 2009-2012) and then in RSUH (2013, PhD dissertation 'Languages of Russian and Chinese narrative video art').
Career
Victoria is a prominent representative of ‘Young&Clever’ Wave.
Some of researchers tried to define some early works by artist as 'memory turn'.
Marchenkova's wall sculptures are typically backlit. .
Recognition
