Vice Verses

Vice Verses is the upcoming eighth studio album by American alternative rock band Switchfoot. It is composed of material from the band's previous album sessions for Hello Hurricane, in addition to newly written material. After recording over 80 songs in preparation for Hurricane, the band planned to release the remaining material on the three subsequent records, but decided to move in a different direction. "Vice Verses is definitely a departure from Hello Hurricane," said Switchfoot singer Jon Foreman.
History
The song "Vice Verses" was first performed by Foreman during one of the singer's a solo acoustic shows on April 12, 2009 At the time, it was said that the song would not be coming out on the then-upcoming record (Hello Hurricane) but on the next one.
Later that month, Switchfoot released details on the title of the album they were working on, Hello Hurricane, as well as the album that was to follow: Vice Verses. This came on the heels of a Twitter post in which the band said they had recorded four albums worth of material during the Hurricane sessions and intended to release the records one by one.
This plan was short-lived however, with Foreman later stating that the band has "already replaced a lot the songs on Vice Verses with new songs."
In December 2009, Tim Foreman was quoted saying that the album was close to done and that he thinks it even better than Hello Hurricane.
At Creation 2010, Foreman and guitarist Drew Shirley said the band was aiming to complete Vice Verses by the Summer of 2011.
