Verónica Alcanda

Verónica Alcanda (born August 20, 1968) is a Spanish matchmaker and the founder of 'Alcanda Matchmaking' and 'The Matchmaking Corporation.'
Early life and education
Verónica Alcanda was born to Juan José Alcanda Navarro and Maria del Carmen Sesmero Huerta.
She holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and a Master's degree in Hotel and Catering Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester, England. She also acquired an Executive Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the IE Business School, Madrid, Spain. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Stamford School of Management, Bangkok, Thailand.
Alcanda is currently enrolled for the Seekers after Truth (SAT) Program in Spain. She is a Técnico de Empresas y Actividades Turísticas (TEAT) in the Official Spanish School of Tourism studies.
Alcanda is a certified NLP practitioner. She acquired her certification of from the American Union of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Following her Matchmaker stage, Alcanda got interested in intrapersonal relationships and the 'Enneagram of Personality' studies in Spain. It is also taught in different countries by Fundación Claudio Naranjo.
Career
Alcanda spent more than two decades in the Hospitality and Tourism industry. She has worked for multinational companies in Europe, Asia, America, and Oceania, where she won several awards for her services.
She founded Alcanda Matchmaking, the first Matchmaking Company where she develops her own methodology - the Head Hunting Sentimental®. Through this technology, she implements the techniques commonly used by professional head hunters in the selection of executives.
In 2018, Alcanda founded 'Matchmaking Corporation' to provide guarantees of professionalism and ethics to businesses that operate in the Matchmaking sector, creating certifications based on UNE 93200 quality standards and ISOs (9001 y 10667). She has been a pioneer in the matchmaking business in Spain.
Alcanda has created a project Personal Matchmaking which aims to apply the techniques of the headhunter of a company in love. The service is not accessible to everyone but aimed at senior managers, businesswomen, who are looking for a partner but do not want to see their photo or their data. To make the whole process work, a contract is signed, what can and cannot be done is established through personalized, exhaustive interviews and strict rules.
Prior to Alcanda Matchmaking, she worked with companies like Revista DIVINITY, Room Mate, Hospes Infinite Places, Deloitte, Radisson, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok, Sheraton, Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square, Viajes Iberoservice, and Pullmantur.
