Venomiss is a female American Rap Artist and Hip Hop Blog Writer from New Jersey. Biography Roberta Lampley ( Born January 6, 1985) , better known as Venomiss, is a female American Rap Artist. She was born in Newark, New Jersey. The only child between her mother and father, she has two half siblings. Venomiss was raised throughout Montclair, New Jersey and Orange, New Jersey and identifies both places as significant in her childhood and adulthood. Venomiss received her start in music at an early age by admiring older family members who were interested in the Hip Hop music business. Thus, Venomiss was exposed to a great deal of Hip Hop music. This exposure led to a desire to involve herself in the art form as well. As she got older, Venomiss would perform locally as a young teen. By 2005, Venomiss was able to start to promote her music online. She would also begin to do shows and showcases at William Paterson University where she attended college. She received some notoriety online on websites like MP3.com and SoundClick.com while promoting her music during this time. After dropping out of College, Venomiss took a hiatus from music to pursue other ventures and by 2008, she went on to have a child and raise a family in North Carolina before returning to the music scene in 2014. Prior to returning to music, Venomiss began Blog Writing for several Hip Hop websites from 2012 through 2014. She covered topics such as general news, album reviews and independent music releases and interviews. During her time as Blog Writer, she interviewed artists such as Agallah, Bugs tha Rocka, Kid Vicious (brother of ). She briefly became C.O.O and Editor in Chief of a small website and publication called Jerseyflow.com which was dedicated to Hip Hop culture on a local basis. By late 2014, Venomiss made her return to music. She released her first official single, entitled "They Want" Produced by Clipsmoke in preparation for her debut album. Her Second single off the album, was entitled CLAP, produced by Eddie Myricks. On September 22, 2015 Venomiss released her first official album, "Heiress of The Echelon" independently. On November 22, 2015, Clap would be in the top 100 most Shazam searched records in Saudi Arabia with over 14,000 searches. In September of 2015, Venomiss was nominated for an Underground Music Award by Urban Threshold at the 11th annual Underground Music Awards held in a venue in Times Square Annually.
