Vennis

Purchase a Jumbo Tennis Ball 9" ball. You can use a volleyball or soccer ball as well, though they are not as heavy as a vennis ball.
Find a tennis court where two teams of 3 to 6 players are welcome to play vennis. Some courts may not permit non-tennis players on their courts.
Once you have found a court you can play on, divide the teams evenly. We have found that an even ratio of guys to girls works best.
Rules:
1. Flip a coin to see what team will serve first.
2. A server must serve from behind the middle horizontal line and on the right side of the middle vertical line, on their side, where they will hit the ball either over or underhand to the opposing teams corresponding box.
3. If the server hits the net and the ball then hits the opposing teams corresponding box, it is a 'let', where the server gets one additional opportunity to hit the ball.
4. The opposing team member who is in the same position as the server must be the first member on their team to hit the ball. (the ball may bounce once)
5. Once the ball has been hit by the receiver your team may hit the ball 2 additional times in order to hit the ball over the net.
6. Teams may block a ball by standing still and close to the net, if the ball hits them then hits the court it does not count as a point until the second bounce.
7. Teams may reach over the net, provided their body stays on their side of the net, to block, hit or spike the ball.
8. You may not kick the ball, if your foot is planted and the ball strikes your foot there is no penalty.
9. Once the ball has been volleyed each team has 3 hits before the ball must go over the net.
10. If teams are small (3-4) you may play half court.
11. The ball may only bounce once on each side prior to a team member hitting the ball.
