For the revival of Vedas and to re-establish the ancient vedic traditions, some organizations are making serious selfless efforts with dedication and determination. One major organization making an effort towards this is Shri Datta Devasthan Trust, in Ahmednagar, India. Shri Datta Devasthan Trust has started Vedanta Vidyapeetham (Vedanta University) in 1988 to provide Gurukul style Vedic Education about all the four Vedas to the students.

Vision and Mission

Sadguru Shri Ramakrushna Saraswati Kshirsagar Swamiji founded Shri Datta Devasthan Trust in 1974 at Ahmednagar in Maharashtra and also started Vedanta Vidyapeetham (University) in 1988, with a view to protect and preserve the Vedas and Vedic values and tradition. Vedas are the ancient and the most revered texts of India. In ancient times, the kings would encourage the Vedic philosophers to propagate the Vedic philosophy. However, in today's world, not many people care about the Vedic philosophy. The main aim of the Vedant Vidyapeetham is to protect, preserve and propagate the Vedic philosophy and traditions, so that the Vedic knowledge can be passed down to the future generations. This is achieved by providing Gurukul style Vedic education to the students.
