There was a novel I read which impressed me very much - climax had hero going to shooting range for the first time with a pistol and therefore realizing that murderer had broken the clock deliberately while shooting. Is that a Ved Prakash novel? Which one? Plus who's the hero?

hi friends, i read all the views posted in here. I m ved prakash's fan too instead i was. but for last few novels i have found that writing of mr Ved is deteriorating n for shagun, it seems next to impossible to follow the legacy of his father. nyhow m nt here to post my comment on them but to let u know that i have a gud personal collection of ved n shagun's novel n i even know one shop from where i can fulfill ur specific needs by sending u ur requested novels. the shopkeeper also have his own collection n usually sells old novel for standard 50 rupee which r difficult to get even on that price. i cn take ur request, will contact the shopkeeper n try to cater ur needs. u cn just add 50 rupee more to the cost price as my operating expenses or margin. in all u cn have a copy of each novel of urs choice for 100 rupees which u r not getting nywhere. if interested, plz reply to this post n then we cn tke it further...happy reading

I Know ved has no time to read my comment, but it's for ythose fans who use to read detective, suspence, thriller novels. some of ved's novels lime sabhi deewane daulat ke, daulat hai imaan mera, bahu mange insaaf were nice to read. 
But when I read S M Pathak's, James hadley chase's, fredrick forsyth's novel I realized that these are the real taste of mine. I have met Pathak in Delhi and he is really a gentle and humble person which impressed me alot. Pathak's and ved's fan may contact me, if somebody have mail id or contact of pathak or ved pl. help.

U R right Swati, u should read novels of Surendra mohan pathak instead, he is a brilliant novelist. I read ved's in my early days (schooling) some of them like lash kahan Chhupau, sabhi deewane daulat ke, bidhwa ka pati were really good but others were just for timepass.

I have read almost all of them but want to read again. I wonder if I can find them online! 
Kubda, Mera Beta Sabka Baap, Alphanse ki Shadi, Kafan Tere bete Ka, Vijay or Keshav Pandit, Karigar (Damn good), Chakarview (Hindi movie "Kasoor" is made on this book), Lallu (Sabse bada Khiladi, Hindi Movie), Rambaan, Damruwala, Dahej me Riwalvar & Jadu bhara Jaal, Bhasmasur are my favorite books.  
But, recently he's typed a little and need to do something different. I like the most when Vikas, Vijay, Alphanse, Tumbktu, Bagarof, Nusrat-Tuglak are togather. 
I think there should be a movie on his "Karigar" & "Mera beta sabka baap (Sanny would be my best choise for Ashok's role and Minakshi Sheshadri for Rashmi")

About what man? 
I too have read many books of Keshav Pandit and almost all of Ved, but I didn't notice anything knowledgeable there. All novels are imaginary and they have nothing much related to real life. Keshav always writes on crupt minister who have a strong relation with “Underworld” and Keshav always destroys them single handed.  
In Ved Prakash Sharma’s Vijay Vikas series either Vikas or Vijay do anything they want in China, Pakistan, USA and in enemy’s camp. They are just time pass man, nothing knowledgeable in them. 
 
If you really want to get something knowledgeable, read Chetan Bhagat’s “One Night @ Call Center” and “Three Mistakes of my Life”. They are damn good to read.

being boughtup in a very different atmosphere, i never had the opportunity to read ur novels. That time i use to read mostly english novels. English literature too. 
It so happen in the beginning of my career i use to travel a lot . to kill time i started reading hindi novels( Sasti jo thi, aur har station par half rate mein rotate ho jati thi). first time i went thru ur novel " vardi wala gunda" u cant imagine what effect it gave in my mind.Actually i didnt see the name of the author.Station boy recommended it.then it became a habit of reading hindi novels.so abruptly i use to buy it . the i found that only few novels i was enjoying to my surprise it was all written by the same author that was u? 
 
when the country is going all western only few people like u are preserving our name. aaj ke daur mein jahan english novels ko padna culture samjha jaata hai i laugh as they dont know the power of our own writers. 
 
Shaayad koi novel nahin chodi aapki. 
 
I dont know whether i m the greatest fan of urs or not but I wrote my heart out today

I really was a big fan of Ved Prakash, but later I came to know that "Ramban" one his novels is directly copied from an English movie or a book called "Paycheck". There is nothing, not alittle change in this book compare to mvoie.  
:( 
Though, I'm still very fond of his Vijay-Vikas series. But now they are also being typed! Recently, I have read a few novels by Sidney Sheldon and found them pretty good, especilly "If Tomorrow Comes" & "Nothing last Forever". 
HArry Potter series is also worth to read!

Hello Parkriti, They didn't copy his novel Ram ban but he copied them. "Paycheck" the English movie is based on an English novel written something around 1958.  
Ved also compied one of another english movie "Jagged edge" and written Chakravuyh on it.  
I wonder how many he copied more from there!

Rather, if you read English novels, I would suggest you to read Chetan Bhagat's novels, Sidney Sheldon's novels. They are indeed good to read. A few of my best books are "One Night Call Center & Three Mistakes of my life" by Chetan Bhagat. 
But my best of best is "If Tomorrow Comes" by Sidney Sheldon. Then there are Nothing Lasts Forever, Naked Face, Master of the game

Batane ki jaroorat nahi hai ki mai aapka bahut bada fan hun. kaarigar, mr. challenge, kala angrez, are my favourites.  
But seriously sir last 5-6 novels se main bhi jyada khush nahi hun. aap english movies ki copy kar rahe hain, very bad. jab ki aap ke original ideas un movies se much better hain. so i wish you good luck. 
and about shagun my opinion is not so good. wo kuchh jyada hiaage chala gaya hai. plz shagun stick to the basics man. 
maine kaafi saare english novels padhe hain aur sir unse bahut jyada achha aap likhte hain. good to know aapke novels english me translate hone wale hain. 
And for my friend, plz don't compare writters. surendra m pathak is also damn good. ved ji and he has same respect from me. pathak ji ka flavoer alag hai aur ved ji ka alag.

Aree sab log Ved ji ke naam pe yaha bhashan de rahe hai. Ved ji ko to isko padhne wale nahi. Koi kambakht ye to bataye inke novel India se bahar kaha se laye? Koi inki Meruth ki dukan ka pata to de, koi inki publication ki website to de. 
Ved ji kabhi bhi ye thread parnewale nahi hai. Koi aqalmand sirf unki website ya ke publication ka pata de to bahu mehrbani.

Sir, Main bahoot bada reader to nahi hoon, Haan kabhi kabhi novels padh liya karta hoon.... 
 
Aaj hi maine apki likhi novel " DUR KI KOUDI" padhi. 
Padhkar uska climax achchha nahi laga....Jis tarah se Ajay ka ved khula usse kahin jyada achchhi tarike se khulna chahiye thha........ 
isnt it ?
