Swami Shivom Tirth Maharaj was the deciple of Swami Vishnu Tirth Maharaj. He was born in 1924 in a small village of Gujrat. His name before sanyas was Om Prakash. Om Prakash completed his undergraduate degree from Lahore.
After coming in contact with Swami Vishnu Tirth Maharaj, Om Prakash entered into the path of sprituality. He started living with Swami Vishnu Tirth. He was a very devoted deciple. in 1959, his Guru Ji decided to make him Brahmchari and have him a new name Bramchari Shivom Prakash.
Shivom Prakash was a very devoited and labourous deciple. Initially he was assigned small work in the Ashram like purchasing of vegitables, taking care of lawn etc. He did all this work with full devotion. He always took Ashram Seva (the work at the Ashram) as Guru Seva (the service of Guru). Over the time, he became a favored disciple of Swami Vishnu Tirth.
Brahmchari Shivom Prakash took his formal Sanyas Dikhsha from Swami Narayan Tirth (of Kashi) in 1963. After sanyas he was named as Swami Shivom Tirth. After that he took care of Yog Shri Peeth Ashram in Rishikesh and Narayan Kuti Ashram in Devas, Madhya Pradesh.
In the later years of his life, Swami Shivomn Tirth left the ashram and started living in a isolated place near Devas. He gave up his public life. Even he refused to meet his deciples. Passing time alone, with his two brahmcharis, he wrote many books.
Swami Shivom Tirth leave the world and went into mahasamadhi in 2008 at Devas. He body was carried to the Rishikesh and put into the Holy River Ganges as per the Hindu Culture.
