Vania (born Tiberiu Jakab in 1982 in Bucharest, Romania) is a Romanian DJ. He started the Vania project in 1995 when he was in highschool, but he started working on professional equipment in 2001. He describes his sound as "positive and dynamic". He is currently on the 8th place in the Romanian Dj Top. Vania was resident DJ in Studio Martin and The Mission, two major clubs in Bucharest. He also writes news columns for various publications such as Clubbing Mag, beatfactor.ro or FHM. Alongside Andrei Ioncica, Vania started the Vania & Midi project, producing tracks that were played or supported by artists like Marco G, Magda or Fergie He played with world famous musicians like Fatboy Slim, Depeche Mode, Carl Cox or Jeff Mills.
