Vaibhav Walia

Vaibhav Walia is an Indian politician of the Indian National Congress. He is the National Secretary and Social Media Incharge of the Indian Youth Congress. He completed his schooling from Cambrian Hall, Dehradun and graudated in computer science. He went on to get an MBA from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
He has worked as a Director with Jan Jan Tak Magazine. He was the head of communications with the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
Career
He started his political journey in 2012 as National Coordinator of Social Media for NSUI, the students wing of the Indian National Congress. He then went on to work with the Communications Department of AICC with Ajay Maken. After 2014 elections he joined the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and headed communications. He also did a coffee table book Glorious 25 years of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation which was released by Sonia Gandhi, the chairperson of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
After leaving the Foundation he switched roles and was an election manager. He was part of the campaign team in Gujarat State assembly elections in 2017 and Meghalaya State assembly elections 2018.
In 2018 he was appointed as the Social Media Head of the Indian Youth Congress. He led social media for the youth organisation for state elections in Chhatisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. He did several campaigns for the Indian Youth Congress for the build up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections like Why Not Her, Main Bhi Berozgar, Aadhi Abadi Poora Haq, Soch se Soch Ki Ladai on social media.
On 5 March 2020 he was appointed as the National Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress.
