Usman Khalid

Usman Khalid (born Usman Khalid on October 20, 1979 in Karachi, Pakistan) is an entrepreneur, investor, public speaker and internet personality.
Career
IBM
After graduating from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology with a bachelors in Computer Systems Engineering, Usman joined IBM as a Professional Services Representative.
Oracle
In 2004, he joined Sun Microsystems as its strategic support engineer and was promoted in 2007 as its Service Account Manager. After Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle, Usman was appointed as senior sales consultant in 2008 where he was responsible for the largest revenue area in the Gulf for FY10-11.
Just Gift It
Usman co-founded JustGiftIt.com in 2012 as a service that offers complimentary and paid gift cards from an exciting selection of brands, with more coming online every month. Usman sold his stake in 2013 in order to focus on Centric. The brands available at the time were Al Jaber Optical, NBAR, 1847, JetSet, Sephora, Mumzworld, Namshi and Nuit D'Art.
Centric DMCC
In 2009, Usman started a full service digital marketing agency called Centric, initially hiring people to run the company. He joined the leadership role in 2011 and since then has expanded company on aggregate growth of over 400%. The Dubai-based agency helps businesses rethink and reshape their structure with modern solutions in IT and marketing. Bilingual professionals fluent in IT and marketing combine their expertise to serve companies such as DELL, the United Nations, Perfetti Van Melle, Khaleej Times, Aldar Properties and Nutria Danone.
