Uruvi

Uruvi is mentioned in the ancient Mahabharata epic as the third wife of famed warrior Karna.
Uruvi was an accomplished Kshatriya princess of a royal family of Pukeya, born to King Vahusha and Queen Shubra.
Uruvi was a rebellious princess who falls in love with Karna, one of the greatest warriors of his time but shunned by society due to caste, and decides to marry him against all difficulties.
Swayamvara
Princess Uruvi’s swayamvara was well-attended with many brave kings, princes and noblemen of the country seated under the golden dome of the marriage hall. The hundred sons of Dhritrashtra were in attendance, as well as the five Pandava princes. Krishna was there with his elder brother Balarama, as were Dhrishtadyumna, King Drupad’s son, Karna with his friend Ashwatthama (the son of Guru Dronacharya), Sisupala, the King of Chedi, and Jarasandha, the King of Magadha. venerated triumvirate of the Hastinapur royal court, Bhishma Pitamaha, Guru Dronacharya and his brother-in-law, Guru Kripacharya, the chief priest, were present to bestow blessings on the couple

Family
Karna and Uruvi had a content married life. The couple had one son named Vrishakethu who survived the bloodshed of Kurukshetra war.
Uruvi was a healer by profession, treating injured victims of battles.
In Stree Parva Queen Gandhari describes the lamentation of Karna's wives and state's the couple's sons.
Gandhari's lamentation on Karna's death in Stri Parva & her description of Uruvi is as follows :

Kunti,the mother of Karna was considered to be Uruvi's aunt, who was like a mother to her. Uruvi was very hurt when it was revealed that Kunti was Karna's mother. Uruvi was disliked by Karna's brother Shona since he was close to Vrushali, Karna's previous wife.
