Urban Actors is an American independently-produced Sketch-Reality Web Series that features the fictional lives of aspiring actors of African-American descent as they pursue professional acting careers in Hollywood, California.
Development
According to the series' creator Urban Actors was produced out of the frustration from the treatment of African-Americans in American cinema. Urban Actors parody's the extreme difficulties experienced by African-Americans in Hollywood.
History
Urban Actors was formed in 2008 by Marcos Domingua, hoping to create an independent entertainment company specifically dedicated to producing urban-themed Sketch-Reality content filmed in major cities worldwide. The company is currently in the process of developing multiple new media productions for their 2010 launch.
