University clubs in Japan

Introduction
Club is the group in which University students play tennis, play soccer, play the guitar, sing songs, make newspapers, dance, study something, and so on. Today, “there are hundreds of clubs in Kyoto University". Most university students are participated in clubs in order to make friends, challenge a new thing, and have a connection with the other Universities. Only members of the clubs, decide what they do, when they gather, and where thet have action. University do not force clubs to do something.

In spring, the second or third grade students receive new students warmly in order to have new students join in their own clubs. After reception events, “most clubs buy new students dinner and tell them about university life”. At Kyoto University, the public square under the Lauraceae in front of the Clock-Tower is very crowded because of reception and an enormous number of fly sheets is distributed to new students.
tennis club
“There are more than 30 tennis clubs in Kyoto University”. So recruiting new members is a big event for tennis clubs. Every year so many people want to belong to tennis clubs, so there are “Selection”. to be the new members of tennis clubs. The “Selection”. is the system that sophomores select the new club members from more than twice members of the capacity.
When it comes to tennis clubs, you can enjoy communication. We not only can be good at playing tennis but also improve our communication skil. As a result, those who belong to tennis clubs actully are welcomed by companies.
international club
In Kyoto University, some clubs aid to train those who will be leaders in international society. One of such a clubs is “Aiseck”. This club support the foreign students who will participate in internship in Japanese companies. Also, it supports the Japanese students who are going to go to foreign countries. “Aiseck”. is very big group though it is administered only by university students and you can have many opportunities for success on its supporting tasks. There are other international interaction club in Kyoto University such as “iAt". or “Vojaganto". and so on. This kind of experience should give you much satisfaction.
chot better
“chot better” is the most popular free paper in Kyoto University and its tittle is also the name of the circle which published it. It is mainly written about lectures which students get credits easily, recommended clubs and so on. This free paper help to improve students` college life. Visibility research showed that 98% of Kyoto University student know abot it. Its activity was regarded and they won the grand prize in Student Freepaper Forum2012.
circle crash club
Circle crash club researches about an phenomenon called as “circle crash.”: the circle is collapsed because of the trouble of a love triangle. They press a booklet about their research every year and try to improve the quality of university life.This circle looks strange but its name was widely known among the Kyoto University Student. The booklet place not only article but also comic and contribute to let students know “circle crash”.
Kyoto University Express
Kyoto University Express is one of newspaper offices in Kyoto University. The newspaper covers not only Kyoto University, but also other Universities which are located in Kansai. Members of Kyoto University EXPRESS can cooperate with other Universities’ students to make articles.
Kyoto University legal advice club
Kyoto University legal advice club have long history.The club receives many legal advices. Most legal advices are about Leased Land and House Lease Law. So members of club can learn about it.
