Unfettered is a fantasy anthology created to help alleviate the medical debt incurred by webmaster and freelance author Shawn Speakman. More than $200,000 was accumulated during his uninsured battle with Hodgkin’s cancer. Nearly two-dozen authors, including some of the highest selling writers in the fantasy genre have donated works to the project. The character depicted on the cover, created by Todd Lockwood, incorporates Speakman's likeness. Unfettered will be released as a trade hardcover, ebook, as well as 500 special edition signed and numbered leather bound editions. The Special Edition version of the anthology is expected to sell out within a few days, however, anyone who purchases a signed edition of Speakman's The Dark Thorn will get a first crack at the corresponding number for the Unfettered release.
