Tyrannis is an American rock music project, founded in 2008 by Michael Tierney in Oakland, California. Tyrannis has released one album, All Good Things. History The band began as an experiment in computer-based recording at Michael Tierney's home studio in Oakland, and the band name Tyrannis was chosen as a play on the name Tierney. Tyrannis is Latin for "to the tyrants" or "by the tyrants" . Tierney is the only official member of Tyrannis, and is its main producer, songwriter and musician. Tyrannis music is of a range of styles, tempos, feels, attitudes, and topics. Tyrannis released its first album, All Good Things, in early 2009, on the independent label, Ten By Ten Incorporated. It contained tracks with styles from 50's rock, such as Mess, to ensemble jams, like Outside, to environmental rants, such as Who Knows. Discography Albums *All Good Things (2009) |
