Type 79 mini rocket launcher

The Type 79 is a mini rocket launcher of Chinese origin. It was originally designed during the 1970s as a low cost (even lower than that of the Type 69 85mm rocket propelled grenade) disposable one-shot anti-tank weapon for the militias of the People's Liberation Army and similar paramilitary forces. The Type 79 was in production at least up to the late 1990s, and possibly even later. Though it's nominally an anti-tank weapon, in practice it can only penetrate light vehicle armor (around 20-25mm depending on exact type) so is more effective as a stand-off anti-personnel weapon, with the projectile acting as a rocket propelled fragmentation grenade. Alternatively, the round can be removed from it's launcher and used as a hand thrown frag or anti-tank grenade (though it's unlikely to be effective in the later role). By default it has some utility against unfortified buildings and light fortifications such as sandbag emplacements.
