Tynisha Keli

Tynisha Keli (pronounced Tih-NEE-sha Kel-LEE) (born Tynisha Keli Soares on July 28, 1985 in New Bedford, Massachusetts) is an R&B/Pop artist.

Life and career
Early life
Keli came from a very poverty stricken home and struggled most of her life. Her mother left to raise 4 children in the port town of New Bedford, Mass.

Early career
In 1999, Keli met Scott Ross — a former member of the platinum hip-hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch — who taught her how to perform and work a crowd. She then caught a break when she moved out to Los Angeles a year later and landed a spot in a pop girl group Gyrlz Society, which was signed to MCA Records. The group was disbanded before dropping their debut album. Their only single was "Respect Me" which was released in 2002.

2007 - Present
Signed to Warner Bros. Records, Keli will be working with Kara DioGuardi, who is one of the industry’s most sought-after songwriters and producers. Keli’s confidence and passion for music comes through loud and clear on The Chronicles of TK. On August 12, 2008 Keli shot the video and will be releasing it world wide in September of 2008.

Contest

Tynisha paired up with Eventful.com to hold a contest to see which city has the most demands for Tynisha and her "I Wish" tour. She will start her tour with at the city with the most demands, and the top five cities with the most demands will be added to her tour. The top five winning cities are Chicago, New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Syracuse.
