Tyler Silvers

Tyler Daniel Silvers (born December 3, 1992) is an American actor, writer and producer. He is best known for co-creating, producing and starring in Prime Video’s comedy series Becoming Jiff.
Early Life
Tyler Daniel Silvers was born on December 3, 1992 in New York City. He is the son of Marlen Hecht, a producer, director, editor, and businesswoman, and Dean Silvers, a producer, director, screenwriter, attorney and author. Silvers attended Trevor Day School for high school.
Career
As a child, Silvers appeared in several films and short films before making his principle acting debut in the film One Fall as the character of "Kyle".
Becoming Jiff
In 2018 Silvers starred, produced and created with his brother Forrest Silvers (collectively referred to as the Silvers brothers) the television series Becoming Jiff. Set in New York City, the series follows Jiff, a recently single 20-something in a dead-end job, who's given the opportunity of a lifetime when he mistakenly gets a new phone number that belongs to New York City's Greatest Ladies Man, "Alejandro Alejandro." This leads Jiff on a hilarious, poignant, and unpredictable journey of self-discovery.
Becoming Jiff premiered on October 3, 2018 on Prime Video, and was distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films. The series debuted to a positive response, with BuzzFeed ranking it as one of the top 5 shows to watch on Amazon Prime Video, calling it "A funny, sweet, and highly binge-able comedy". The Film Stage said, "Thankfully, a number of talented emerging writer-directors are here to take up the comedy mantle. One such promising duo is Forrest and Tyler Silvers."
Quadruple Overtime podcast
In 2018 Silvers launched the comedy sports podcast Quadruple Overtime where he serves as co-host and producer. The podcast features interviews with prominent actors, comedians, writers, and TV personalities from Saturday Night Live, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Today, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and others.
Other projects
In 2009 at the age of 16, Silvers created the popular independent school sports magazine Athlete Magazine, featuring interviews from high school athletes to professional athletes from the New York Knicks, New York Giants, Houston Texans, and others. The magazine was sponsored by Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex. Silvers would go on to receive the Gold Key Award from Alliance for Young Artists & Writers for his work on Athlete Magazine.
Silvers has been a contributing writer for HuffPost, Stage 32, and other publications.
