Tyler Kjetland is an American football offensive lineman for the Dakota State Trojans. Early life Kjetland, from Emery, South Dakota attended Bridgewater-Emery High School and participated on the school's football and basketball team. He was a 2-year starter for the Huskies' football team. During his final two seasons he would tally 108 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries. He would earn a spot on the Big East All-Conference honorable mention team in 2020. The Huskies would win the SDHSAA 11B State Championship in 2019. He would also compete for the school's basketball team. He spent three years on the varsity team, scoring 435 points, gathering 229 rebounds, 19 assists, 22 steals, and 4 blocks. College career Northern State On November 17, 2020, Kjetland would announce his commitment to Northern State for football. He would redshirt during the 2021 season and would appear in 4 games during the 2022 season. Dakota State On May 7, 2023, Kjetland would announce that he was transferring to Dakota State University and would play for the Trojans football team. Following the 2023 season, Kjetland be awarded a spot on the All-NSAA Second Team. Prior to the 2024 season, Kjetland was announced as a captain of the Trojans football team. Personal life He is the son of Bruce and Lisa Kjetland. His brother, Brandon, is also an offensive lineman for the Trojans.
