Tyler Dean McDowell

Tyler Dean McDowell, also known as Tyler Dean, (born February 23, 1990) is an American country music singer/songwriter. He is currently signed to Sidewalk Records and has amassed a string of singles, including his first, "Taylor Swift".
Career
Tyler Dean got his start on the stage when it was noticed at a young age that the charismatic little boy had superb vocal talent. The young Tyler Dean wowed the audiences of his father, country crooner, Ronnie McDowell. Tyler Dean continued to work on his talent and developed his own stage persona and abilities and was signed with Curb Records in Nashville, TN in 2001.
In 2010, he released his debut single, "Taylor Swift", to country radio. "Taylor Swift" was then followed up by "That Smile", released in 2011. "I Wanna Wake Up with You," his first single with Sidewalk Records, was released in 2012. The song was a duet with Ashley Gearing.
Taylor Swift Controversy
Shortly after releasing his single, "Taylor Swift", Tyler Dean was met with controversy regarding the song's lyrics. Though he did not write the song entitled "Taylor Swift", which he recorded for and was released by Curb Records in 2009, Tyler's affections for Taylor Swift have come into question. In a recent interview, Tyler was quoting saying, "I didn't write the song. I like singing songs that people can relate to. My manager knew this and approached me with the idea that some guys might 'want a girl like Taylor Swift'. At that time, no song had been written, and while I didn't want the song to come from my perspective, ultimately, that's not what happened." Tyler was then asked if he had to pick a celebrity crush to sing about, he responded, saying, "I see celebrities as overrated, unrealistic goals. I mean, who would want to be dating a woman and know the entire world wanted to date them as well? If I had to pick, it'd be either Katy Perry or Christina Hendricks." With that said, it was observed that both celebrities mentioned by Tyler Dean are quite dissimilar in appearances compared to that of Taylor Swift, who is most notably recognizable for her blonde hair and thin figure. With this observation, Tyler finished by saying, "I know Taylor, she's great. But, really, I don't even like blondes. I'm a sucker for a brunette!"
Personal life
Tyler Dean McDowell was born on February 23, 1990 to country crooner, Ronnie McDowell, in Hendersonville, TN, near the country music metropolis of Nashville, TN. He is also a screenwriter with multiple screenplays now under his belt, as well as being a novelist and a graphics artist. He is a self-professed Disney enthusiast and cites Walt Disney as one of his biggest inspirations.
