Production
"Two-Minute Heist" is the directorial debut of both DeLuca and Arnold and was DeLuca's third screenwriting effort; since then he has gone on to write multiple features and television shows. The film was produced and filmed in Washington, D.C. Executive producer Justine Mascioli has said that, despite the financial risks and the use of first-time directors, "we still had a passionate and talented team and - above all - a great script." In July 2010, west-coast based Celebrity Video Distribution purchased the domestic release rights to the film.
Release
The film was released straight-to-DVD and on digital formats on July 6, 2010, though it was screened earlier on the festival circuit.
