Twin Sisters Reunite

On January 11, 2017, a viral news story was broadcasted on Good Morning America where two 10 year old Chinese-American adopted twins reunite after 10 years.
Process
In mid-2007, 2 families wanted to adopt a child. The Doering Family, after having their 3rd child, wanted to adopt a daughter, and the Rainsberries, wanted the same thing, which led them to China. Jennifer and Thomas Doering adopted Audrey at 15 months in August 2007 and Nicole Rainsberry adopted Gracie in July 2007 at 14 months. By coincidence, they both had a heart defect , Gracie has 2 heart surgeries and Audrey only had one. Half a decade later, in December 2016, Jennifer Doering was interested in her adopted daughters past and contacted a Chinese researcher on a website and he sent Jennifer the newspaper where Audrey was founded as an abandoned child and a picture of two twins sitting on their foster mothers lap, and one of them was Audrey, which lead her to Facebook where they founded the Rainsberry family.
Audrey Min Doering

Audrey Min Doering (born April 28, 2006) was born in an unknown Chinese hospital with a heart defect. She was abandoned as a child and her name was later posted in a newspaper where an abandoned child could be found. She was founded on May 3, 2006 by an orphanage and was raised by a foster mother. The Doering Family adopted her in 2007 and continue to take care of her.
What it led too
This particular event led to the research of more adopted twins for years to come.
