TVC Capital is an operator-led growth equity firm focused on investments in and acquisitions of software companies and software-enabled service firms. The firm targets a wide spectrum of software sectors and industry verticals that are poised for growth and consolidation. TVC Capital invests growth equity in minority interests as well as provides capital for recapitalizations and buyouts. TVC Capital focuses on software companies that meet a mission-critical need of their user base.
The TVC Capital team is composed of operating executives who have successful track records of managing all stages of corporate evolution, from start up to IPO and the mature stages of public company growth. TVC Capital states that they work “in the trenches” with the firm's portfolio companies.
TVC Capital has invested in 20 companies in the United States. TVC Capital III closed in January 2015 with $115 million of committed capital. TVC Capital II closed in August 2012 with $75 million of committed capital.

History
TVC Capital was founded in 2007 by Steve Hamerslag and Jeb Spencer. Steve Hamerslag was previously President and CEO of J2 Global Communications and prior to that was the Founder of MTI Technology. Jeb Spencer was previously Co-Founder of Backwire.com and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ellie Mae.
TVC Capital's investors include endowments, financial institutions, assets managers and family offices.
