Turnkey Web Design Business

Turnkey Web Design Business is defined as a ready to go business provided to a person which allows them to immediately begin selling Web Design services. This may also include Web Hosting services and Search Engine Optimization (also commonly known as SEO) services.
Business Plan
This type of Business Plan (or methodology), similar to the franchise concept, allows a person to start such a business with no prior knowledge. Often this may include the vendor leasing a custom built or individualized website to the person starting up the business, and providing moral and technical support to enable them to properly get started in the business. The person starting the business gets the benefit of the knowledge and experience of the vendor, and this usually includes technical support. No large investment is usually required, rather the vendor makes their money from a commission on the future sales the newly started up business makes, in addition to a monthly lease fee for the provided website (including web hosting, and e-mail accounts).
Downside
The downside of this type of agreement is that a person entering it is usually expected to sign up for a 12 month lease.
Upside
The upside is that this may be a bargain compared to web design and other start up costs if one were to start from scratch, and then try to come up with products and services to sell, and the person starting the business does not need to personally design the customer websites, or even know how to design them, rather they can mostly focus on marketing existing products and services.
Conclusion
As with any business venture or investment of any kind, any person considering such, should do their research to ensure that they fully understand any agreements, as well as risks, costs, and potential return on investment. They should also ask themselves if this type of business is a good fit with their personality and personal situation. If they do not feel well suited to marketing in general, then this type of business may not be well suited to them. If they are married or have a significant other in their life, they should disucss the matter with them at length and have the support of their spouse or partner prior to entering into it. Finally one should never rush into any business venture or investment, rather one should give it a lot of thought over a period of time, before making a final commitment to it.
