Turinah (Turinah Masih Sehat; 7 June 1853?) is Indonesian woman claimant for the . Turinah lives in a small village on the island of Sumatra and was discovered by census workers in 2010.
Life
Turinah says she was born in 1853. She no longer hasd identity papers to prove her age. She says she burned them in 1965 because she feared being connected to an attempted coup d’état by the communists. Indonesian officials say her story could be true. Turinah also has one daughter (born c. 1902). She has smoked her whole life and speaks fluent Dutch. When visiting a local journalist, she is described the huge eruption of the Krakatoa volcano in 1883. Supposedly is a own eyes saw the eruption. Turinah has more flexibility to engage in housework. If her claims are true, then she is much older than French woman Jeanne Calment who died in 1997 at age of 122 years and 164 days.
