Trump resistance

The Trump resistance is a political effort to push back against the politics of U.S. President Donald Trump. This has included fielding more Democratic challengers than usual (including a large number of female candidates), lobbying representatives, creating a Trump resistance fund, and holding protests against Donald Trump. The Trump resistance is motivated by, e.g., opposition to his stances on immigration, the environment, women's rights, gun control, LGBTQ rights, and civil liberties.
Reactions
The grassroots nature of the movement has drawn comparisons to the Tea Party movement. This included the new formation of 75 "resistance" groups, as identified by February 2017, following the Inauguration of President Donald Trump, and Hillary Clinton announcing the formation of the political organization "Onward Together" - An organization aimed at funding "resistance" groups that are standing up to President Donald Trump. An organized a “Summer of Resistance”was declared, as Democrats organize the so-called “Resistance Summer” being billed as a 50-State strategy, that was funded by the Democratic National Committee (DNC). MoveOn.org sought support of “Summer Resistance” efforts meant to block much of Trump and the GOP's agenda and win tangible victories against “Trumpism”. Eric Trump then reacted with statements defending his father, President Donald Trump.
