Troy Senik

Troy Senik is a conservative American speechwriter who worked for U.S. President George W. Bush. He also served as a writer for former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Early life
Senik was born in Fullerton, California and grew up in Riverside, California and Costa Mesa, California.
Education
Senik earned his bachelor's degree in political science and philosophy at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. He holds a master's degree in public policy from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. with concentrations in economics and foreign policy.
Professional background
After a stint as a staffer in the Tennessee General Assembly Senik became a research fellow with the Tennessee Center for Policy Research, a free market think tank based in Nashville. He later served as one of the editors of The International Dictionary of Economics, a project of the Center for Global Economic Growth. He then worked in California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's Office of Executive Writers, write many of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich's nationally syndicated "Winning the Future" radio spots, and become a regular contributor to Red County, a center-right publication targeted at California Republicans.
In 2007, he served as the opinion editor of the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal, the nation's largest daily legal newspaper. Late that year, he was asked to come to Washington, D.C. to become a White House speechwriter for President George W. Bush, a role he kept until the Bush Administration's close. Currently, Senik lives in Southern California, where he is writing on national issues and working on a reform agenda to strengthen the California Republican Party.
Views
Senik is a member of the Republican Party. He has referred to his views as neolibertarian, embracing a strong foreign policy but minimal government interference in domestic affairs. He is also a Roman Catholic.
