Steven L. Toronto

Steven L. Toronto is the head of the Beijing office of Morrison & Foerster which is serving as the legal counsel for the Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee. Toronto served a mission in Taiwan for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He later served as a Mandarin language instructor in the Missionary Training Center while studying at Brigham Young University. He then received his law degree from Columbia University. While at Columbia, Toronto served as editor of the Journal of Chinese Law. Toronto specializes in venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions. Before moving to China he worked for a large law firm in the San Jose, California area. Toronto currently serves as president of the LDS Church's Beijing China International District. |
