Trinity Mount Barker

Trinity Mount Barker is a church plant planned for the South Australian regional centre of Mount Barker. The church is being planted by South Australia's oldest church, Holy Trinity , which has its largest campus in the city of Adelaide.
One potential hurdle for this new church is that it will be planted in the Murray diocese of the Anglican Church, while Holy Trinity is itself part of the Adelaide Diocese. Plans for Anglican church plants across diocese boundaries haven't always been welcomed by those in positions of influence in the Church..
This will be the first church planted by an Adelaide Anglican church outside the diocese.
Church Planting
Holy Trinity Church has stated it's intention to plant more churches across Adelaide as a means of revitalising existing churches and of course, growing new ones..
There is a large number of different models for "planting" or starting a new local church. One organisation has identified 21 different models, although that list is probably not exhaustive.. Holy Trinity's approach with the past 2 plants has been to move a large number of people (ie about 60) to start the new church.
