Trillium Power Wind 2 is a proposed 740 megawatt (MW) wind farm which is being developed by Trillium Power Wind Corporation. Trillium Power Wind 2 (TPW2) is in the detailed data collection stage and is located in eastern Lake Ontario. The wind farm is expected to deliver enough power for at least 320,000 Ontario homes. Trillium Power Wind Corporation will invest approximately $2.5 billion in the project. According to several public reports, Trillium Power’ Wind 2 will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 3.2 million tonnes, reduce nitrous oxide emissions by 8,550 tonnes, reduce sulphur dioxide emissions by 18,700 tonnes, and reduce water used by fossil fuel generators by 5.0 billion litres. Trillium Power has indicated in various media interviews the following information: - site is located in northeastern Lake Ontario - long-term wind speed data at the Trillium Power Wind 2 site is being corroborated with LiDAR and Metmast - average wave height data in eastern Lake Ontario (NOAA and Canadian Coast Guard) is less than on (1) metre from April 1 until October 31 - Unique laminar wind flow in eastern Lake Ontario development site creates high power density
