Trevor Donald Brewer is an American US Air Force Staff Sergeant who received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Life Brewer is from Gray, Tennessee. On 2 March 2011 Brewer was one of the 15 US airmen that were attacked in the 2011 Frankfurt Airport shooting. Two soldiers were killed and two others wounded. Brewer was inside the bus and attacked by the perpetrator Arid Uka but survived because Uka's weapon jammed. When Uka tried to flee, Brewer followed him together with the civilian airport employee Lamar Joseph Conner until Uka was arrested by German police forces. According to German police officers the arrest of Uka was mainly driven by the courageous actions of Staff Sergeant Brewer and the civilian Conner . Brewer received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in a ceremony on 16 January 2012. |
