Trent Tresch is a commercial spaceflight industry expert who researches human performance in extreme environments. As the founder of Earth and Space Exploration LLC, he has created a commercial spaceflight training course called Mission Spaceflight. He also works with Pacific Spaceflight, which aims to provide affordable stratospheric spacesuits. Tresch attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach and graduated from the Scientist-Astronaut training program with Project PoSSUM, the first crewed suborbital research program to study the upper atmosphere and the role it plays in understanding our global climate. Spacesuit Design Tresch is a pressure suit technician at Pacific Spaceflight, whose goal is to develop pressurized spacesuits that are used for stratospheric flights. He assists in development of IVA spacesuits with Cameron M. Smith, PhD and conducts expeditionary analog research of the spacesuits, such as simulated Mars rock climbing EVA. Tresch is one of several members of Pacific Spaceflight who will be featured in Discovery Channel's show Homemade Astronaut and in CNN’s Great Big Story. Earth and Space Exploration In 2018, Tresch founded Earth and Space Exploration, which offers the Mission Spaceflight training program. The spaceflight training program is certified by the Space Foundation as an Educational Product, it is accredited by Western Colorado University, and the course teachings comply with Code of Federal Regulations standards (14 CFR 460.51 spaceflight participant) for emergency situations, such as water landings and capsule egress. Earth and Space Exploration LLC also facilitates underwater EVA-style dive training, provides hands-on experience with high altitude systems for skydivers, and other services related to earth and space exploration. Awards In February of 2019, at the Skydiving Technology Advancement Roundup (STAR) Awards hosted by the United States Parachute Association (USPA) and Sigma, Tresch was awarded the People’s Choice Award for the high-altitude skydiving pressure suit developed at Pacific Spaceflight. This model functions at a standard 3.5 psi on 100% oxygen with the same leak rates as those of NASA’s Apollo mission. On March 11, 2019, Tresch received The Explorers Club - Mamont Scholar Grant for his project titled “Validation of Astronaut Parafoil Deployment Locations.” Published Works Trent Tresch has published the following works: * Co-Authored with Cameron M. Smith, PhD: Incidence of an Astronaut Not Sealing the Pressure Garment Visor on Reentry * Earth and Space Exploration Divers Training Handbook (ISBN: 978-1980821878).
