Aloysius Sequeira

Aloysius Henry Sequeira (born in 1957 in Mangalore) completed his schooling and College Education in St. Aloysius High School and College, Mangalore. Obtained, Bachelor Engineering Degree in Electrical Power from Mysore University, Master of Technology Degree in Industrial Management from prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, Ph.D. Degree from Mysore University for research in Productivity Management in Banks, Diploma in Training & Development from the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), New Delhi.1
Professional Experience of about 30 years as a Teacher, Researcher and Administrator. At present he is a Member of Management Committee, Academic Council, Board of Examiners, Board of Studies, Selection committee & PhD Referee in various Institutes & Universities. Nominated as Coordinator of new NIT, Goa in June 2010. Was former Director: NITK-STEP, Project Officer: NTMIS and HOD: Humanities, Social Sciences & Management in NITK, Surathkal.2

Presented 52 technical and research papers at seminars, conferences, workshops at National and International levels. Published 14 research papers in refereed journals and serves as paper Reviewer for National & International On-line journals and Conferences on Business & Management. Guided 3 research scholars for award of PhD in Management area and presently six research scholars are working for PhD Degree under his supervision. Successfully completed three sponsored research projects in thrust area and R&D of MHRD. Trained at the University of Huddersfield, England in the area of Educational Technology under the UK-India REC Project in 1995. Visited Germany in 2001 as a Technical Advisor. Sponsored to attend Summer University 2010 by the University of HEIG-VD, Switzerland in July2010. He is the recipient of 5 different awards for professional excellence and service to society.
He was the former Registrar of National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal - Deemed University. Presently is Professor of the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, NITK, Surathkal.3
