Tragedy (rapper)

Nelson Eugene Richardson IV (Born September 11, 1996), better known as Tragedy is an American Rapper, Songwriter from San Diego, California near the Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico border. His debut album "Pure Insanity" is to be announced for release.
Early life
Tragedy was born and raised in San Diego, California. Due to moving to Dallas, Texas for some time, he ended up graduating from Allen Highschool located in Allen, Texas. Despite getting expelled in the 10th grade, he managed to re enroll and graduate successfully with a 3.5 GPA. Shortly after, he later flew back to his hometown in San Diego, California to reunite with old friends and pursue his musical career.
Career
Tragedy began rapping at the age of 15 and has been compared to artists such as Ludacris, Montana of 300, and Twista as his musical influencers. He received the name Tragedy from his friends while in a juvenile prison in 2012 and he decided to keep it.
In 2017, Tragedy met local San Diego rapper Thommed Cruz of 's 1207 Worldwide label, and the two created the hit single "Lyrical Lemonade" which is still gaining attention today and is his most well-known single due to the catchy lyrics and as it is a dedication to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade franchise, which is a platform for underground musical artists, well known for his unique digital music video editing.
In early 2018, Tragedy took a trip to Atlanta, Georgia where he had an opportunity to meet DJ Smallz, an American hip-hop DJ, known for his Southern Smoke mixtapes as well as his weekly show on Sirius Satellite Radio and DISH Network, Southern Smoke Radio. He also has a platform of artist interview profiles on his YouTube channel titled DJ Smallz Eyes, which Tragedy is featured on.
Tragedy also has met a local Los Angeles female rapper by the name of Indika Sam, who has lived with Chicago rapper Famous Dex. So we have yet to see if Tragedy will have some music with Famous Dex in the near future.
Musical style
Tragedy's aggressive style has often been described as Drill Rap but he also makes Westcoast Hip Hop and R&B at certain times depending on the mood of the record. More like an unpredictable musician. Tragedy considers rappers such as Ludacris, Montana of 300, Denzel Curry, Cartier God and the late Fredo Santana as his musical influencers. He also shares the same birthday as Ludacris, (September 11th).
Tragedy has stated in an interview, that he is working on an album titled "Pure Insanity" which will be a number of LA-based hip hop tracks with executive producers such as "OMG The Producer" and more. He will then release a second album titled "Fallen Angel", which will be focused more on women with a more smoother approach.
Personal life
Tragedy's father was born to a father from Asmara, Eritrea and a white mother. Tragedy's mother is African-American.
Legal issues
In March 2012, Tragedy was arrested in Dallas, Texas for Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon at the age of 15. He was sentenced to 12 months in juvenile prison and was released in 2013 on probation.
At the end of August 2013, Tragedy was arrested in Dallas, Texas on Assault and Theft charges which violated his probation and led him going to juvenile prison for 6 months, then he caught 2 counts of Assault charges while in juvenile and was transferred to the adult county jail for 6 additional months, due to him turning the age of 18 while in juvenile. He was released at the end of August 2014.
Since then, Tragedy has had more close calls with the law but has been avoiding anymore long terms.
