Tracy Thorpe

Tracy Rashaad Thorpe (born December 15, 1980 in Melbourne, Florida) is an American baseball pitcher. He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 11th round of the 2000 Major League Baseball Draft.
Professional career
Toronto Blue Jays
Thorpe began his professional career with the Rookie-Level Medicine Hat Blue Jays of the Pioneer League in . He went 0-4 with an 8.54 ERA in 11 games, six starts.
In Thorpe played for the Class-A Charleston Alley Cats of the South Atlantic League. He went 4-13 with a 5.08 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 24 games, 23 starts. Thorpe finished second in the league in losses.
He again pitched for the Class-A Charleston Alley Cats in . Thorpe went 5-7 with a 4.18 ERA, one complete game and 70 strikeouts in 20 games, 19 starts.
In Thorpe again spent the season with the Class-A Charleston Alley Cats. He went 1-2 with a 6.68 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 20 games, one start
Thorpe was promoted in to the Class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League. With Dunedin, Thorpe went 3-2 with a 3.64 ERA and one save in 39 games, all in relief.
In Thorpe played for both the Class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays and the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Eastern League. He went a combined 4-3 with a 3.79 ERA, two saves and 69 strikeouts in 51 games, all in relief.
He played the entire season with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats. He went 3-1 with a 2.91 ERA, 18 saves and 55 strikeouts in 54 games out of the bullpen. On October 19, Thorpe was added to the Blue Jays 40-man roster. Thorpe also participated in the Arizona Fall League in October. He was one of the most primer pitchers in the AFL in '06.
Thorpe participated in spring training with the Blue Jays in but was soon assigned to the Minor Leagues. He again played for the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats. He went 5-4 with a 4.61 ERA in 46 games. Thorpe was selected to the Eastern League All-Star Team.
In , Thorpe began the season with the Triple-A Syracuse SkyChiefs of the International League. In 13 games with the SkyChiefs Thorpe went 2-0 with a 2.63 ERA, four saves and 18 strikeouts. On May 10 the Blue Jays designated Thorpe for assignment.
Seattle Mariners
On May 19, 2008 the Seattle Mariners claimed Thorpe from the Blue Jays. In the Mariners organization he played for both the Double-A West Tenn Diamond Jaxx and the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers. Thorpe went a combined 5-4 with a 5.38 ERA between the two organizations.
Thorpe was invited to spring training with the Mariners in but was reassigned to the Minor Leagues before the season started.
Camden Riversharks
Thrope played the 2009 season with the Independent Camden Riversharks of the Atlantic League. He was their primary closer for the Riversharks until June.
Acereros de Monclova
In June Thorpe began to play with the Triple-A non-affiliated Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican League. He went 2-2 with a 5.96 ERA, one save and 17 strikeouts in 12 games, three starts. At season's end Thorpe played for the Caribes de Anzoategui of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League
