The Totalitarian Football League was invented by Danny Baker on 6-0-6 in 2009. It's aim is to cut the English and Scottish leagues into just 20 teams that represent something unique to the club in question and something generic to all clubs. Danny Baker often refused to give clubs entry because they didn't have enough of a reason and sometimes because he didn't like them. e.g. Fulham because Bobby Robson said that "It was Racehorses versus Donkeys" Teams Entered Aston Villa - hopeful wasp buzzing around better clubs Bournemouth - nicknames, pitch rotation and endeavour Bridgeport Italians - free kit & warm-ups Celtic F.C. - for attendance records, local players & renting a graveyard East Stirlingshire - tannoy announcements Falkirk F.C. - stagnancy Grimsby - coldest ground and seeing off opposition managers Halesowen Town - representing the non league underdogs Hartlepool - perseverance Lincoln City - lack of luck Manchester United - glamour, success and glory Notts County - hope over common sense and being bores Peterborough United- football dynasties Preston North End - history and a name that promotes curiosity Queens Park - introducing sexy football and owning Hampden Park Raith Rovers - travel abroad and shipwrecks Rangers F.C - living off glory days Sheffield United - controversy Swindon Town - For unwantedness & Fraser Digby's washbag Tottenham Hotspur - paranoia and persecution complex Upton Park (Boleyn Ground) was also placed into the league because of it's unique tackiness References:- Homepage of Totalitarian League
