The Jordan-Matthews Jets, are members of NCHSAA Division 1-A (2-A as 2009) and The 1-A Yadkin Valley Conference (2-A Mid-State Conference as of 2009). Under head coach Marty Scotten, the Jets have been a football powerhouse throughout the last couple of years, making claim to 3 straight 10+ wins seasons. In recent years, The Jets have consistently been ranked in many local and state media polls making them a team to watch. The football team is regarded as one of the centerpieces of their conference which in that list are included Thomasville High School and West Montgomery High School, both have made appearances in recent 1-AA State Championship Games, Thomasville High School claiming 3 of those titles in the past 4 years. In 2009 the Jets will be welcome to the 2-A Mid-State Conference in which they will clash against Cummings High School and North Carolina's High School Football all time leader in state championships Reidsville High School, both have made appearances in recent 2-A State Championship Games in the past 4 years Cummings claiming one of them and Reidsville followed by claiming 2. With head coach Marty Scotten making a lot of changes to his staff throughout the last couple of years the Jets are looking stronger than ever and hope to continue the success.
