Tony Lyman

Tony Lyman is a British disc jockey, who currently presents the drivetime show on Nottingham based radio station 106.6 Smooth Radio.
Career
He started his broadcasting career at hospital radio in Northampton before spending a brief time as a presenter on an off-shore station in Israel. When he returned to the UK, he joined Nottingham's Radio Trent, where he initially hosted a late night programme before becoming the station's breakfast show presenter.
After a year on Trent's breakfast show, he moved to Leicester Sound, where he hosted an afternoon music and chat show for three years. He later briefly returned to Trent to present a mid morning show before moving to Trent's sister station and mediumwave service, GEM-AM.
Following several years with GEM, one of his former Trent colleagues became involved with the management of the then newly-established Century 106 in Leicestershire, and he was given the opportunity to return to FM broadcasting. However, following Century's acquisition by Capital Radio, the new management team was keen to change the station's format and he departed along with several other colleagues.
Saga Radio
In February 2003, and after spending some time with Saga 105.7 FM in Birmingham, Tony Lyman returned to Nottingham with the launch of Saga 106.6 FM, and presented the station's weekday afternoon show. He was one of the station's main presenters throughout its time on air.
With the launch of Smooth Radio, he was initially the station's mid morning presenter, until networked show began in September 2007. After a brief spell presenting the afternoon show, he took over the Drivetime show from October 1.
