Tony Crowley

Tony Crowley (18 September 1940 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England) is a former merchant navy officer who has written and illustrated many careers and educational publications.
Biography
After a feral childhood in a transit camp by the Sinai, he was sent to the Duke of York's Royal Military School and later attended Sir John Cass College. In 1979, he obtained an M.Phil in Occupational Psychology from Hatfield Polytechnic and was registered for several years as a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.
He is the author of The Lo-Tech Navigator, a book for those wishing to learn about traditional and emergency navigation techniques. He has also written children's stories, songs and poems, many of which can be found under the pseudonym of mudsailor.
He has appeared on various television programs as a one man band including What's My Line, Rainbow, Jim'll Fix It and Opportunity Knocks. Has worked as a volunteer for the Africa Mercy hospital ship. A long suffering supporter of Sheffield Wednesday for which he once optimistically wrote a march entitled 'We Shall Rise Again'.
