TOGs

Terry's Old Geezers/Gals/Gits (often nicknamed "TOGs") were people who listened to the Wake Up to Wogan show on BBC Radio 2 until it ended in December 2009. They often take on pseudonyms, as did the newsreaders, prior to February 2007. They were:
*John Marsh - "Boggy Marsh"
*Alan Dedicoat - "Deadly Alancoat"
*Fran Godfrey - "Mimi" (me, me, me, me, me...)
In February 2007, Boggy Marsh took compulsory retirement, at the age of 60. He was only semi-retired, and still returned to the show every six weeks to read the news. His departure from the show caused a reshuffle of staff, and the introduction of a new Travel Announcer, Lynn Bowles, whom the TOGs often referred to as the "Traffic Totty". Charles Nove also nicknamed "Chassa", "Bossa", and "Super" later became a regular newsreader on the Wake Up To Wogan show, and was famed among TOGs for his impression of coughing sheep which became a running 'gag' on the programme.

TYGs are "Terry's Young Geezers/Gals", who become TOGs "Suddenly", according to Sir Terry.
The Radio 2 Janet and John stories, featuring Boggy Marsh and his wife Janet, are written by "Mick Sturbs". Four CD's of the stories have now been produced in aid of BBC Children in Need and have raised over £3 Million for the charity.
A book of the scripts is currently available, published by Headline. Mick also runs the TOGs website.
Since Wogans departure from Radio 2 the breakfast show has been taken over by Chris Evans
