Todd Wyett is an American businessperson. Beginning his career as a lawyer, he has since founded companies including Versa Lamont Ventures and Versa Development. As a public servant, he is the Chair of the Michigan State Transportation Commission, and served on several other public boards and committees. Education Wyett received a bachelor’s in economics from Swarthmore College, followed by his JD from Georgetown University. real estate company Versa Development, where he currently serves as a principal. Wyett has continued to invest in commercial land and property through the company. He is also a principal of Versa Lamont Ventures. Public service As a public servant, Wyett served as the Chairman of the Michigan State Waterways Commission, the Lyon Township Downtown Development Authority, and is a member of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Advisory Council. He was a member of the Michigan Economic Development Commission Corporate Board, and in 2008 he was appointed to the Michigan Economic Development Commission Executive Committee for an eight-year term by the Governor of Michigan. Wyett was appointed to the Michigan State Transportation Commission in 2011 by the Governor of Michigan, and was reappointed in 2015 and 2019. He also served as Chair of the Commission since 2015. In his capacity, he has written opinion pieces for publications including Crain's Detroit Business.
