The Nutmeg Lawyer The Nutmeg Lawyer is a Connecticut based legal blawg created by humorist and practicing attorney Adrian Mark Baron. Discussing the trials and tribulations of law practice, the blog distinguished itself from others by taking a humorous approach in its discussion of the legal profession. Known for its "snarky" humor, the Nutmeg Lawyer has featured guest authors ranging from NY Times best selling authors to CEOs of time management software companies. The blawg has been included in the American Bar Association's Directory of Legal Blawgs and has been listed as one of the nation's top legal blogs by Avvo.com. Several articles have been reprinted in various media including the national Technolawyer newsletter reaching over 14,000 subscribing attorneys throughout the United States. On April 26, 2009, Connecticut's New Britain Herald wrote an investigative piece on Connecticut notaries and the unauthorized practice of law based on a blawg post entitled "Beware of Fake Lawyers." ---- References "A Lot of Funny Things Going On" Connecticut Law Tribune May 4, 2009 "The Nutmeg Lawyer Adds Spice to the Blawgosphere" May 6, 2009 "Language Similarities Breed Scam" New Britain Herald April 26, 2009 "Site of the Week" Jim Calloway's Law Practice Tips May 8, 2009 http://jimcalloway.typepad.com/lawpracticetips/2009/05/site-of-the-week-nutmeg-lawyer.html Jim Calloway is the Director of the Oklahoma Bar Association's Management Assistance Program
