Todd Mills, born in 1972, was the creator of the Taco Bell Doritos Loco Taco. Life Mills was born in Arkansas, United States in 1972. He married Ginger Mills and had two children. Doritos Loco Taco In 2009, Mills had an idea of a taco made of Doritos. He sent the idea to Frito-Lay, but the idea was rejected. Sad from the rejected idea, Mills decided to create a Facebook page called "Taco Shells made from Doritos Movement" which featured pictures of pop culture characters with the Dorito taco shell. Three years later, in 2012, Mills received a call from Taco Bell that they liked the idea and they are gonna make the tacos calling it the Doritos Loco Taco. Mills was then sent to the Taco Bell HQ to try the taco. In just a few months, the tacos had sold over 1 billion dollars, Todd receiving not even one penny. Death During the summer, Mills was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He underwent two brain surgeries, a lung surgery, and a round of chemotherapy. He died early on Thanksgiving morning of 2013. His funeral was held on December 2, 2013. Soon after his death, Mills' friends and family set up an online donation center for his medical bills; Taco Bell donated $1,000.
