To Take a Bullet for the President

| Take a bullet for the President is a act used by the Secret Service. It is where members of the Secret Service should risk his or her life in order to save the President from being shot. There have been several assassination attempts but only one person has ever "Taken a Bullet". Tim McCarthy took a bullet for President Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981. There have been several attempts to save the President such as in 1963, when John F. Kennedy was Assassinated. Clint Hill ran to the presidential limousine in just three seconds to try and protect the President and the First Lady but failed to save him. |
