Tina P. born Tina Pittman is a singer, songwriter, actress from Waynesboro Mississippi. Family Background & Influences In an article with Urban Mogul Magazine, Tina shared pieces of her family background and her musical influences growing up in a Christian household. "I'm from Waynesboro, Mississippi., a town so small you can throw a rock and hit everybody, but everyone is family, and that's why I hold Mississippi dear to my heart. As far as my musical influences, I wasn't allowed to listen to secular music, only Gospel, like the Mighty Clouds Of Joy and Shirley Caesar, so me and my siblings use to sneak and listen to R&B which we use to call the Blues (laughs). The very first artist I saw and heard was Sinead O'Connor in her "Nothing Compares 2U" video, but my biggest influences are Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and Mariah Carey."
