Tina-Desiree Berg (born October 28, 1970) is an American model, actress, and public policy advocate. She is best known for being a scream queen and public policy advocate. Personal life Berg was born in Los Angeles California and has Swedish heritage. Berg holds a BA in drama/dance from UC Irvine and a MA in philosophy from CSULA. Her MA thesis paper, Unraveling Race, focuses on Race being a vacuous biological concept and the social and political implications that still stem from it. Acting and modeling career As a model she has appeared on the pages of Muscle and Fitness, Men’s Health, Frederick's of Hollywood, Mossimo Swimwear and Femme Fatales (Volume 3, #2 Fall 1994, Volume 4, #3 October 1995, Volume 5 #1 July 1996). As an actress she is perhaps best known for her campy performance in the cult classic Bikini Hotel with JJ North, Julie Strain and Stella Stevens. Her credits also include starring roles in Reptilicant with Gary Daniels, and disaster film with Jason Johnson. She starred opposite Mel Novak in the science fiction film GiAnts, which had a spin off TV series titled Gigantix. She has also appeared in exploitation wonders Merchant of Evil with William Smith, Run Like Hell and The Devil’s Pet with Julie Strain. She starred in Action On Film 2011 nominee Immacul8, directed by Craig Profit, and had a supporting role in Deer Crossing, which starred Ernie Hudson and Doug Bradley. Soap Opera fans will recognize her from a two year stint (1995-1996) partying with the younger set at the Bikini Bar, on The Bold and the Beautiful. Additionally she was a correspondent for Femme Fatales magazine from 1994 to 1997, and wrote a column titled Femmes on Film. One column focused on the NATPE convention and exhibitors Jim Mallon and Dr. Clayton Forrester, best known for their television series Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Volume 4, Issue 1,1995 article titled "Its MST3K: Clinkers and Kim Cattrall"). She has served as a volunteer Public Policy Director for the Junior League of Los Angeles (2006 to 2008), PBS’s Change the Menu and oversaw the LA Coalition for Microbicides.
