Tina Dabi is an Indian civil servant. She is the topper in the Civil Services Examination (conducted by UPSC) for the year 2015. The 22-year-old woman topped the exam in her first attempt, to become the first ever Dalit girl to top the civil services exam in the general category. She has selected Haryana cadre. Early Life and Education Tina was born in Bhopal with both of her parents being Indian Engineering Services (IES) officers. Her mother Himali Kamble is a ex-engineer, who did her B.Tech from NIT Bhopal, while her father Jaswant Dabi is working in Department of Telecom. Dabi’s maternal grandmother Suchita Kamble and maternal uncle Piyush Kamble still live in the Arera colony in Bhopal. She studied in Carmel Convent School, Bhopal till Class 7, before shifting to Delhi. She completed her schooling from the Convent of Jesus and Mary, Delhi. She scored 100 per cent in Political Science and History in Class XII ICSE board exams. She graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women in political science in 2014. Tina Dabi was also the Vice Speaker of The Youth Parliament, 2012. She also has a younger sister Ria. Career Tina cracked the UPSC Civil Services Exam with first rank and scored 52.49 per cent.
